Other ions are fine. I just haven’t been using the "Performance booster" for fear it creates ozone. I have Holmes HAP412N-U HEPA-Type Mini Tower Air Purifier.

Which can cause serious health issues like chest pain and other issues. I just turned mine off and don’t plan on using it anymore. Does ozone stay in the air even with it off? If so how long? Also will I need to take some other measure to get the ozone out the air?

                  i mean an actual air purifier.

Is the ionizer part unsafe? it does have a strange smell which I assumed was Ozone, but now im not sure if we should use it at all…
